Encompassing an online store and retail outlet, Slurp is a wine merchant with a constantly evolving list of high-quality wines, where new and exciting vintages can be discovered alongside well-regarded favourites. They commissioned us to reposition their brand and bring it into line with their business ambitions.
We began by leading a strategy workshop with their team, conducting a host of interviews, and undertaking a competitor review and brand audit. This process revealed Slurp’s deeper expertise and industry knowledge, which helped inform the revised strategy as well as shaping the new direction for their visual and verbal identity.
Slurp’s original logo no longer reflected the brand’s direction or aspirations, so we developed a bold new mark. With its contemporary feel and subtle playfulness, it signalled a new confidence that more accurately reflected their position within the market.
For Slurp’s retail outlets, we designed external signage featuring individually cut letters, backlit and placed on a black background for maximum impact. This was accompanied by window vinyls highlighting their offer, plus internal category signage and product descriptions, to achieve an elegant and coherent feel throughout.
We completely redesigned Slurp’s website to reflect their new proposition, and partnered with their web development agency to create a more user-friendly experience, hero the products, and deliver insights into the brand and their suppliers.
For the launch of the rebrand, we applied the identity to every touchpoint, redesigning everything from delivery boxes, parcel tape and retail bags, right through to branded uniforms for their retail and warehouse staff.
Since the rebrand we’ve worked on multiple projects with Slurp, including Christmas campaigns, gin festivals, tasting evenings, events advertising and print. Working closely with their team, we’ve helped ensure that Slurp’s refreshed brand is front and centre across all their communications.
