To tea, or not to tea. Romeo & Juliet Crockery for the Swan
To accompany the Globe’s exciting new production of Romeo & Juliet, we were commissioned by The Swan at the Globe to design a series of illustrations that embedded theatrics and legacy into their crockery for their new Romeo & Juliet inspired afternoon tea experience.
We designed a suite of illustrations to tie in with the theatrical season, breathing life into star-crossed lovers, Juliet’s balcony, wedding banquets, potions, and more. Our illustrations were placed across the crockery for the afternoon tea – from plates (on their tiered stands) to the cups and saucers, they reflect the Globe’s imaginative theatrical world and tie into a menu that playfully brings to life Shakespeare’s stories, characters and flavours.
This project celebrated food, theatre, and drink all in one, and was a treat all round. We’d recommend a trip to the Swan at the Globe, be it for theatrics or a tastily designed treat – or both! Take a look at the rebrand we did for the Swan here.
