Run by head chef Kieren Steinborn-Busse and his wife Natasha, The Falcon restaurant is situated in a beautiful listed building in Hertfordshire. We were commissioned to design the restaurant’s brand identity and website, which we based on our strategy of focusing on their signature seasonal British flavours and locally sourced ingredients.
Hospitality: Strategy + Branding + Website + Print + Menus + Brand guidelines
By choosing an elegant monochrome colour palette for the overarching visual identity, we established a canvas on which the vibrant colours of their seasonal ingredients could come shining through. We also provided moodboards to shape the photographic direction, for an honest yet refined approach that reveals the food’s journey from farm to plate.
We worked closely with the team at their sister restaurant, The Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, to create a website that reflects The Falcon’s passion for seasonal, local produce and beautifully presented dishes. We discovered inspiration in the Grade II listed building’s unique details, such as the diamond windows which became small graphic details throughout the website.
With the restaurant’s seasonal focus necessitating regular menu updates, we designed a template which enables easy updates in-house, while the use of premium materials ensures that a consistent look and feel can be effortlessly maintained.
For the restaurant’s private upstairs dining rooms, we created a promotional brochure featuring their tasting menus alongside highlighting their unique atmosphere and quirky artwork.
Finally we created a set of detailed brand guidelines that enable the team at The Falcon to produce communications that consistently express their values and identity.
