The Carvery is a welcoming and family-friendly restaurant bringing the classic British roast to Spain’s Costa del Sol. Their business was already highly popular with UK tourists choosing a traditional Sunday roast. Keen to increase their mid-week footfall, they commissioned us to rebrand their restaurant and help broaden its appeal.
Hospitality: Branding + Website + Print + Digital + Menus + Brand guidelines
The Carvery’s visual identity was ready for an update that would feel more relevant to the restaurant’s personality and audience. So we created a bold and contemporary new mark that would help them stand out from the competition, and appeal to Spanish residents as well as UK tourists.
To attract more mid-week customers we developed a campaign that combined engaging copy with bold colours and playful illustrations, to achieve a contemporary look that feels welcoming, accessible and personal.
Our complete website redesign brought the restaurant’s brand story to life, capturing the warmth of its atmosphere, pushing the team to the forefront, and helping to reposition The Carvery as the perfect choice for any day of the week.
By using reportage photography, we revealed the restaurant experience at its very best, showing friendly staff, plus families and friends enjoying each other’s company. We paired this reportage style with high-quality food photography focusing on the food in it’s delicious detail.
We designed a suite of menus to bring clarity to The Carvery’s offer through clean and accessible layouts. The main menu took the form of a table mat featuring playful illustrations, and we designed fun colouring-in sheets for children to make life easier for their parents.
To enable The Carvery’s team to create their own print, digital, and social collateral throughout the year, we developed a toolkit of illustrations, alongside a suite of engaging graphics for campaigns and promotions.
With the future in mind, we developed detailed guidelines to not only help the team understand their new brand, but also enable them to communicate it with clarity and consistency.
