Botany at the Bar, The Art and Science of Making Bitters
Quarto publishing commissioned us to design New York botanists Selena Ahmed, Ashley DuVal and Rachel Meyer’s new book – Botany at the Bar.
We created a contemporary look with bold type mixed with a mono spaced typeface, beautifully accompanied by drawings of plants and drinks we commissioned from illustrator Clare Owen.

Botany at the Bar includes the origins of bitters, the art of craft bitter making, plant profiles, cocktail recipes, and notes on ecology and the science of taste.
