Behind the scenes at The Linen Works photo shoot
We flew out with The Linen Works team to the South of France to accompany them on the photoshoot for their new brochure. A beautiful Provencal villa in Luberon complete with vineyards provided the perfect, idyllic setting to allow the simple, luxurious quality of The Linen Works summer collection to speak for itself.
The Linen Works is a homeware brand that has been creating natural flax linen items, such as bedding, kitchenware, and fashion, for over a decade. Every one of their timeless items has been stripped back to its essential elements, ensuring practicality, beauty, and longevity. They work to keep their environmental impact to a minimum, too, encouraging mindful consumption and only using natural ingredients from a small selection of European mills and family-run weavers.
This seasons photoshoot put The Linen Works’ range of soft spring clothes and brand new bed linens in centre stage, and the pared-back, French villa with characterful old beams and furniture was the perfect backdrop. For a brand all about living slowly, each shot brimmed with rustic charm, and we loved working with the team while elegant Easter breakfast table settings were carefully designed and brought to life, bathrooms were spruced up and subtly styled, and beds were fluffed and dressed, all for the beautiful series of photographs set to showcase The Linen Works’ new products in their summer brochure.
With the flax used to make each linen product taking 100 days to mature, patience and commitment is central to The Linen Works philosophy. Slowing down to take notice of life’s daily routines and rituals and creating items that will be appreciated years from the day they were purchased means that this spring/summer campaign needed to feel timeless, and we certainly enjoyed taking the time out to enjoy getting involved in the creative process for this simple and elegant campaign, and looking back on these behind the scenes photos.
