Press for Progress, International Women’s Day

With 2018 marking 100 years since women won the right to vote, this year’s International Women’s Day will really be one to celebrate.

This year is ‘press for progress’, calling for collaboration to push society towards gender equality. Women designers have shaped the way we navigate our streets, our motorway system, and even influenced the style of Londoners’ tube seats, but only 11% of Creative Directors are women. With the number of women studying graphic design only increasing (over half of Central Saint Martins’ graphic design students are women), the percentage of pioneering creatives in the future looks likely to grow.
